Responsibilities:
Drafting, vetting and maintaining a
repository of various agreements, notices and other legal documents.
Filing and Registration of new Trademarks
and Copyrights, Renewals of existing ones and maintain the MIS of all the
Trademarks and Copyrights.
Assists in the
development of best practice with regards to the legal aspects of commercial
and contractual matters entrusted
Determine key
contract terms and conditions and communicate pertinent information in the
Terms and Conditions of each contract to appropriate end users.
Act as key point of
contact for any questions/needs regarding contracts or other legalese to
various business units and heads.
Contribute to
negotiations as liaison between internal and external personnel including in
discussions on key contract terms, conditions, and pricing as required.
Handle litigation
and piracy matter issues independently or in coordination with appropriate
authorities.
Manage Risk
Assessment and Management in respect of the various business transactions
Desired
profile:
A LLB with 1-5 year corporate experience in
managing end to end of contracts, Trademarks and litigation
Diplomas in legal vocations/subjects like
Media ad entertainment. Intellectual property rights etc would be a plus.
Candidates from Media Industry will be
preferred.
Experience in contract and agreements development, legal terms
review, negotiations, contract management
Good Experience of Intellectual Property
Laws such as the Copyright Act & Rules & the Trade Marks Act and rules,
ISP, E-commerce, Digital Media, Licensing.
Good understanding and application of TRAI
broadcasting and cable services interconnect regulations, the Cable TV Act etc
Good understanding of procedural laws such
as CPC, CrPC and substantive laws such asIPC and other economic offense
statutes.
Well versed in Corporate Laws, Labor
laws, Litigation and Compliance
In-depth knowledge of contemporary legal
practice
Strong communication skills, both verbal
and written
Effective organizational skills in a
multitask environment.
Ability to analyze data and recommend
courses of action.
